Al-hamdu lillah

Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said,

"ALLAH, Subhanahu wa ta'ala, will be pleased with
His slave who praises Him
(i.e. says Al-hamdu lillah)
when he eats & praises Him when he drinks".

(Muslim).

heavy in the Scales

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said,

"There are two statements that are
light for the tongue to remember,
heavy in the Scales
& are dear to the Merciful:

"Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi,
Subhan Allahil Azim

(Glory be to Allah & His is the praise & Allah,
the Greatest is free from imperfection)."

(Al-Bukhari & Muslim).

Subhan allahi wa bihamdihi

Sayyiduna Abu Dhar (Radi Allaho anho) narrates
that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) was asked:

Which words are the best?
He (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) replied:
The words that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala
has chosen for His angels, or His slaves:

Subhan allahi wa bihamdihi

(Glory be to Allah who is above all faults
& all praise be to Him).
(Muslim)
