The Kaba without it's covering. It only looks like this one day a year. On the day of Arafat, when the pilgrims are in Arafat, the annual covering is removed & replaced with a new one.

This chest has been there since the time of Hazrat Ibrahim (as). The valuable items given to the Kaba were kept inside the chest. Although the chest is currently in the Kaba, it is unknown what is inside.
Yes, as you may have been surprised, the Black Stone (Hajr-e-Aswad) is not a single piece. It is made up of small pieces. In fact, it is narrated that the smallest piece was taken by the previous King & examined throughly & that the perfume known as the Black Stone perfume was made using the piece. If you ask what happened to that piece afterwards, it was returned to it's place after being examined.
