zakaat al-fitr

Ibn 'Abbas (Radi Allaho anho) said:

The Messenger of Allah

(peace & blessings of Allah be upon him)

enjoined zakaat al-fitr

as a purification

for those who fasted from idle

or obscene talk,

& so as to feed the poor.
